Due to NCPPSB pre-delivery and range rental requirements, ALL armed training registrations MUST be received in our offices no less than 7 days prior to the start of class.

Class Fees

Armed Full class $350.00 per student
Armed Recertification $225.00 per student

All prices include 1.5 hours of range time. Additional time cannot be guaranteed. New armed candidates failing to qualify may reshoot the range course within 20 days. (Surcharges for range fees will apply) Recertification candidates who fail to qualify MAY NOT WORK past that time until they reshoot. (Surcharges for range fees will apply)

Equipment Policies

For uniformity and safety All NEW ARMED candidates MUST train on Walton Investigations issued equipment. Issued equipment will include T-Shirt, Ball Cap, Duty Belt and Magazine Holster
New officer trainees may choose to use thier own duty weapon and compatible holster. Weapon and holster must be inspected and determined by the instructor to be NCPPSB compliant and in good condition. Two compatible magazines will be required. All other equipment MUST be Walton investigations issue. Officers without a weapon will be issued a S/W SD9VE, S/W SD40VE or Glock model 22 .40 for training purposes. All Walton Investigations issued weapons and equipment will be retained by Walton Investigations at the end of the training period. Officers MUST carry the same make and model used for qualification when on future duty assignments. Please keep this in mind when purchasing or accepting agency issued weapons for duty. Full class price includes all equipment rental including weapon if required.

ALL recertification candidates should provide a complete duty rig to include, duty belt, magazine holster, weapon with compatible holster and ball cap. Equipment, inlcuding weapon may be rented for qualification for $75.00. Please remember that NCPPSB qualifications require ALL offficers to carry the same make and model used for qualification while on duty.



Ammunition can be provided by Walton Investigation for qualification at competitive prices. Cost of ammunition is NOT included in class prices and will be charged by the 50 round box. No steel jacketed rounds to include BEAR, WOLF or TUL will be allowed. Reloads are not allowed. All officers must carry the ballistic equivelant of thier qualification rounds while on duty.

Registration and Payment

Please read the following information carefully before submitting or mailing payment.

Payments for training must be submitted at time of registration. Corporate clients may request
a credit application. Once approved all invoices are due net 14 days. Fees are non refundable.

Adjustments and Cancellations

NCPPSB regulations require a five day pre-delivery notice. Rosters may be adjusted up until that time without penalty. Cancellations after that time will incur a $50.00 fee. Adjustments and cancellations may be submitted here No shows not formally cancelled via the above link above will be charged for the entire class.

Please be on time for class. Late arrivals will not be admitted. This is a 20 hour course designed to ascertain skill levels/equip advanced security officer candidates in North Carolina with the skills necessary for proper performance as an armed security officer. This class is required by the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board prior to ANY registration and post work as an armed officer. Students must complete the ENTIRE class to receive the required certificate. Fees are non refundable and non transferable. Class will start promptly at 0800 each day. No admittance or refunds for late arrivals or early departures. Students must complete an exam at the end of the course and achieve a passing classroom and range score of 80% in order to receive the required certificate. All classes are subject to being audio and video taped for compliance or training purposes. If that is the case then an advisory will be given prior to the start of the class.
PLEASE NOTE: All qualification weapons WILL be inspected for safety and functionality prior to starting the first day of class. Any weapons deemed to be unsafe or in poor firing condition will be disqualified.
All students MUST be familiar with the basic operation of thier respective weapon(s). Any student not demonstrating this familiarity will deemed unsafe and will be dismissed from the class until such familiarity can be demonstrated to the instructors satisfaction.
